When Konami announced the return of the legendary Contra franchise with Contra: Operation Galuga , long-time fans of the run-and-gun genre held their breath. Developed by WayForward (the masters behind Shantae and River City Girls ), this reimagining of the 1987 arcade classic promised modern visuals, new mechanics, and the same brutal difficulty that defined a generation.
Since its release, Contra: Operation Galuga on Nintendo Switch has received critical updates to address performance issues and stability. While the Switch version initially faced criticism for framerate drops and input lag compared to other platforms, recent patches have notably improved the experience. Performance & Stability Updates
