The plot takes place in New York City, where Newt's brief visit becomes a perilous journey. His suitcase, which contains various magical creatures, is accidentally opened, and the creatures escape, causing chaos in the city. Along with Auror Tina Goldstein (played by Katherine Waterston), Newt embarks on a quest to capture the escaped creatures and uncover the truth behind a series of mysterious attacks.
