Work !exclusive! — Csi Bridge Vs Midas Civil
MIDAS Civil takes a different route. It is an built on MIDAS Gen’s solver. You define nodes, lines, and surfaces explicitly. While it includes wizards (wizards for launching analysis), the software never hides the underlying elements from you.
CSiBridge offers a highly automated design checking feature. It can run through thousands of load combinations and produce clear "D/C" (Demand/Capacity) ratios for various components. Its load rating module is particularly strong for US-based engineers who need to follow state-specific DOT requirements.
relies heavily on the engineer’s ability to interpret output and create custom reports. It provides raw data (forces, stresses, tendon forces) but does not present it as a polished, code-clause-by-clause check in the same way Midas does. This forces the user to truly understand the mechanics, but it slows down production. csi bridge vs midas civil WORK
In contrast, Midas Civil offers a more generalized finite element method (FEM) environment. While it possesses bridge-specific wizards, its core strength lies in its node-and-element flexibility. Midas Civil functions like a robust 3D CAD environment, allowing engineers to model non-standard geometries, complex interchanges, and irregular cable-stayed or suspension bridges with greater ease. However, this flexibility comes with a steeper learning curve; the user must often manually define connectivity and constraints that CSI Bridge automates.
Your work consists primarily of standard highway bridges, you rely heavily on AASHTO codes, and you value a fast, wizard-driven modeling speed. MIDAS Civil takes a different route
The city of Oakdale was planning to construct a new cable-stayed bridge across its river, which would connect the city's downtown area to the rapidly growing suburbs. The bridge was expected to have a total length of 500 meters, with a main span of 200 meters. The design team, led by engineer Rachel, consisted of experts from various fields, including structural, geotechnical, and transportation engineering.
is frequently cited as the "undisputed leader" for construction stage analysis. It allows engineers to "build" the bridge virtually in the exact sequence it will be constructed on-site, which is critical for identifying locked-in stresses. While it includes wizards (wizards for launching analysis),
CSiBridge is widely regarded as a specialized version of SAP2000, tailored specifically for bridge engineers. Wizard-Driven Workflow: Its standout feature is the Bridge Wizard
Great post – I am a late-comer to the streaming of music. This is in part because I like the physicality of a CD and now, once again, and more so, the vinyl. I love to read the sleeve notes and admire the artwork.
But you make a great point regards in ‘the old days’ we effectively ‘tried and bought’ via radio and latterly tV shows. And in this respect Streaming is no different.
I have many friends in touring bands and they, at the time they would stop over at our house when on tour in this country, were dead set against streaming, for the reasons you outline.
Now it’s all change. Streaming has become a necessary evil.
Just a shame some people are getting rich off it – and it ain”t the artists.
