Whose job is it to regulate entertainment content? Governments risk censorship; platforms resist liability (Section 230 debates); parents feel overwhelmed. This paper argues for a third path: media literacy education integrated into K–12 curricula. Students should learn to deconstruct entertainment’s persuasive techniques, identify parasocial manipulation, and recognize cultivation effects.
